Accessibility
Last reviewed: November 1, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Hey Sababa, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only or zoom.
Our standard
- We follow WCAG 2.2 level AA. This also covers the European Accessibility Act (EN 301 549).
What we did
- Clear page structure with landmarks and headings.
- Full keyboard use, a visible focus ring and a "Skip to content" link.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 and controls of at least 3:1, in light and dark mode.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are read out by screen readers.
- The chat demo has a text description and a pause button, and doesn't move at all if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Large tap targets, text that can be enlarged to 200%, and no sideways scrolling on small phones.
- Each language has the correct language and reading direction, including full right-to-left Hebrew.
- Accessibility is built into the site itself. We don't use an accessibility overlay plugin.
Known limitations
- None known yet. We'll update this list if we find any.
